The ONCE group, which includes Ilunion and Ilunion Hoteles, has been recognized as the third holding company with the best corporate reputation, according to the influential index published by Merco every year. This milestone consolidates the company headed by Alejandro Oroño as one of the main players in the Spanish market, as it is accompanied by three consecutive years leading the ESG and corporate social responsibility ranking, also published by Merco.
Ilunion Hoteles, Ilunion’s hotel division, operates the Hotel Ilunion Les Corts Spa, an asset of Atom Hoteles Socimi. The 4-star, 213-room hotel was acquired by Atom during the first four months of 2022, management passed into the hands of Ilunion Hotels, the first hotel company with the Global Certificate in Universal Accessibility (UNE-170001-2), and work immediately began to adapt the establishment to the hotel chain’s high accessibility standards.
In the first phase of the comprehensive refurbishment plan, they opted for improved accessibility and these improvements not only meet the standards required by legislation, but also reflect the commitment of Atom and Ilunion to creating inclusive spaces for everyone.
The investment focused on adapting the rooms and bathrooms for people with reduced mobility, with the aim of providing a more accessible and welcoming environment for all guests. The hotel’s accesses and the entire first floor have also been completely refurbished.
Merco, a benchmark reputational assessment tool in Spain and Latin America that has been analyzing the reputation of companies since 2000, is backed by the market research company Análisis e Investigación. To prepare this report, it has carried out more than 63,435 surveys, seven evaluations and has used 28 sources of information. In addition, it was independently reviewed by KPMG.
When evaluating the different companies, factors such as the projection of short and medium-term profits, the success of the business strategy or corporate governance, environmental sustainability and the quality of management are taken into account. Also taken into account are transparency of information, social commitment to the country and contribution to the community, among others.
