ABOUT ATOM​

The 1st Real Estate Investment Trust in the Spanish hotel investment market.​

ATOM HOTELES SOCIMI S.A is a publicly listed SOCIMI (Spanish REIT) focused on the hotel industry in Spain.

Incorporated in January 2018 by Bankinter and GMA Capital, and subject to the SOCIMI tax regime. Today ATOM is the the 1st Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in the Spanish hotel investment market, and 2nd largest hotel owner in Spain.

Atom Hoteles SOCIMI is managed by GMA, and currently owns 29 hotels , with 6.862 rooms, that represent a portfolio value of more than 700m€.We focus on the acquisition, management and development of real estate assets for lease in the hotel industry.

STRATEGY

Since 2018, our strategy has consisted in diversifying our portfolio by striking a feasible balance between business and leisure hotels. We are continuously monitoring hotel markets for potential investments and have generated extensive market knowledge and strong relationships with the world’s largest hospitality brands.

ATOM has invested in different types of hotels including, mid-market, full service, upscale, luxury hotels and resorts.

A large percentage of our portfolio is derived from guaranteed fixed-income, which makes it more resilient to changes in the business cycle, providing stability and security to our investors.

GMA Corporate is the Asset Management firm that leads ATOM Hoteles SOCIMI business strategy & investments.​

GMA is an independent real estate asset management firm focused on investments in the hotel industry. Our firm has over 20 years extensive track record in Spain and in international markets.

GMA has managed third-party investments as well as its own, assuming different roles in accordance with the type of vehicle, from asset manager to the investor-manager role.

Headquartered in Madrid, GMA co-invests and manages hotel assets across Europe through its different investment vehicles. We generate superior risk adjusted returns by focusing on specific acquisition criteria and implementing value-added investment strategies that capitalize on our deep experience in hotel real estate.

In recent years, our team has managed over 400 transactions and hotel projects worth over 5 billion euros.

Today, GMA manages more than 1 billion euros in assets. Its parent company, GMA Capital, is Spanish bank Bankinter’s co-partner and promotor of Atom Hoteles Socimi, which today owns 28 hotels with over 6.626 rooms. The investment vehicle is competitively positioned as the 1st Real Estate Investment Trust in the Spanish hotel investment market with an expert team, long-term horizon and high-quality capital sources allowing it to unlock complex investment and value enhancement opportunities.
