ATOM Hoteles SOCIMI, promoted by Bankinter and managed by GMA, announces that, since the beginning of this week, it has more than 50% of its hotel portfolio open to the public.
The end of the state of alarm has led to a significant increase in reservations for the season and with this there are now 15 SOCIMI hotels open out of a total of 28. “The location of our hotels, the full refurbishments and the efforts done, together with the hotel chains, to adapt the hotels to the needs of the market and the adjustment of the operating models, will allow us to progressively open the hotels in the coming weeks. In July we will deliver the fully refurbished resort, Labranda Suite Costa Adeje, with its complete repositioning. With this we will have all out hotels operating on that date”, declared Víctor Martí Founder and CEO of GMA / Atom Hoteles SOCIMI.
In the coming weeks the company expects to reach a percentage of openings that will be above 70%, with hotels in the Balearic Islands, such as Fergus Club Europa, with a recent expansion of 81 premium rooms, Alua Calas de Mallorca, which reopens with the image of a new Operator ALUA, and Sol Falcó, with a new Splash Park, enhancing the product offer for the whole family. On the other hand, in the Canary Islands, Atom Hoteles foresees the opening of hotels such as Labranda Suites Costa Adeje and Labranda Costa Mogán, which have been renovated this year with an investment of more than 32 million euros.
During the last year, GMA has maintained the policy of advancing all investments and CapEx investments and processes. In addition to this, the company has had, as a priority, the execution of works with local companies and partners, helping to create employment and promote economic activity in the destination where the assets are located. . In this sense, the company has worked hand in hand with the operators collaborating on CapEx plans to comply with the highest health & safety protocols, both for guests and employees of the establishments. In the operational field, ATOM has constantly analyzed break open and break even scenarios, allowing it to make an appropriate decision regarding hotel openings.
Thus, by the end of July ATOM aims to achieve the opening of all its hotel assets, except for the AC Baqueira Autograph Collection, which is scheduled to open in December 2021.
